A NOTE FROM ASHTON
Have you ever noticed how the post that is not business related, but rather something personal - plays well on social? It’s not a surprise obviously. People love people. Especially for us serviced based businesses - we are a big part of why people choose to work with us - not just the service we are offering.
I know for me it was hard to put myself out there. When I first started my businesses, i leaned into the colors, and the fun, graphic design and the brand - but stayed off camera. When I finally decided to pull the trigger on a photoshoot - It reaffirmed what I already knew, “oh shit, I’m going to have to start showing up.”
We know this as business owners but its 1. scary and 2. kind of embarassing.
But when I am on the other side of the phone, AKA doom scrolling - and I see another business owner on camera, sharing her life, posting all the things - you know what I am not thinking? “oh that’s dumb” - NOPE. I am thinking - this is great, I just learned something new, immediately hits like.
So, as a business owner that went from shy to out-there, let me tell ya - people want to hear from you - they want to engage with you - they want to help.
This is your sign to go put yourself out there today - start with a story if you want (it only lasts 24 hours!)
xo, Ashton
BEYOND THE POST
The "social" part of social media often gets overlooked. While creating great content is important, the real magic happens in the interactions with your community. It's not just about posting and hoping for the best - it's about creating genuine connections.
Think about it like a party - you wouldn't just stand in the corner making announcements. You'd mingle, ask questions, and engage in conversations. The same applies to your social media presence.
